Precinct Caucuses on March 7, 2026
All registered Democrats in Ouray County are invited to participate in Precinct Caucuses on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
All 2026 races will be discussed at Precinct Caucuses, including Governor, U.S. Senator, Representative for the 3rd Congressional District, Secretary of State, State Treasurer, Attorney General, Representative for Colorado House District 58, and Ouray County offices: Commissioner, Clerk and Recorder, Assessor, Sheriff, Surveyor, and Coroner.
Unaffiliated voters who would like to participate in the Democratic Party Caucuses must change their registration before Friday, February 13th. Current Ouray County voters can update their voter registration on the Colorado Secretary of State’s website. All eligible voters can update their registration at the Ouray County Courthouse or by calling the County Clerk’s office at 970-325-4000.
Registered Democrats who participate in the March 7th Precinct Caucuses will discuss candidates and elect delegates to the County Assembly. The County Assembly will elect delegates to participate in the State Assembly of the Colorado Democratic Party, as well as other assemblies that will choose candidates for the Colorado Primary Election on June 30, 2026.
Ouray County’s Voting Precincts are the same as in previous years. Precincts 1 and 2 will caucus at the Ouray School and Precincts 3, 4, and 5 will caucus at the Ridgway Secondary School.
Ouray School
Precinct 1 is Ouray to the east of US 550 and north to Crooked Tree Gulch
Precinct 2 is Ouray to the west of US 550 and north to CR 3A
Ridgway Secondary School
Precinct 3 is Solar Ranch, Elk Meadows, Pleasant Valley, and Log Hill Village
Precinct 4 is Log Hill Mesa, north of McKenzie Creek
Precinct 5 is Ridgway, Dallas Meadows, and Ridgway east of US 550
